Community Participation for Sustainability
Community mobilization has been the moving force at
the grassroots level, for the success of the program through the
formation of Community Health Teams (CHT).The program has created a cadre
of 647 volunteer women from the communities in 10 wards of Ahmedabad who
have become the spearheads of the community making way for positive
change in health.
Communication medium
The program adopts various mediums of communication
for all the interventions like Health Education Sessions, Household
visits, puppet shows, street plays, campaigns, stalls, rally’s,
celebration of Breast Feeding Week and Nutrition Week etc. Besides this we work closely with the
link workers and Anganwadi’s of the area to attain the targets and be in
direct contact with the community.
